SMS

• The SMS feature can be accessed by opening the Ringotel application and pressing the Chats icon. Any existing SMS conversations or new messages will appear on this page.

• To initiate a new SMS, press the + button on the top right of the page. A pop up will appear with a list of options. Select SMS.

• In the To field, you may manually enter a telephone number. Alternatively, you can press the phonebook icon on the top right of the page and select an existing contact within your smartphone.

• At the bottom of the screen you may begin typing your message. To add a photo, press the photo icon on the left side of the text.

• Once you are ready to send your message, press the chat icon on the right side of the text.

• A checkmark will appear, confirming that the send was successful.

• You may press and hold messages within a conversation thread. Useful options that appear include: copy, forward, mark, remove.

• NOTE: If the Windows/Mac applications are open simultaneously, push notifications will first be delivered there.

If your organization has multiple SMS users connected to a single telephone number, please take note of the following:

• When a new SMS is received, it is delivered to all users. An antenna icon appears near the contact name, indicating that the SMS is part of a group chat.

• If another user replied to the SMS, all users that are part of the group chat can see the two-way conversation. Users will also be able to distinguish who replied to the SMS.
