Bluetooth Functionality

The Grandstream WP820 is capable of connecting to a bluetooth headset or can act as a bluetooth headset for a device such as an iPhone. Only one of these modes can be selected at a time.

To use the WP820 with a bluetooth headset:

  • From your home screen, select the middle button for Menu
  • Scroll to the blue Settingsicon
  • Select Bluetooth Settings
  • Highlight Bluetooth and ensure that it is turned on. If it displays off, click the arrow button to the right and allow 5 seconds to turn on.
  • Scroll down and select Bluetooth settings
  • Place your headset in pairing mode. Note that Junction support will unable to assist with third party products.
  • Scroll down and select Bluetooth devices
  • Select your handset and press Pair. You can also press Refresh if you did not find your device and would like to search again.
  • Once you selected your device, you can press Connect if it did not connect automatically.

To use the WP820 as a bluetooth headset:

  • Scroll down and highlight Bluetooth headset mode and ensure that it is turned on. If it displays off, click the arrow button to the right.
  • Place your handset in pairing mode. Note that Junction support will unable to assist with third party products.
  • Scroll down and select Bluetooth devices
  • Select your handset and press Pair. You can also press Refresh if you did not find your device and would like to search again.
  • Once you selected your device, you can press Connect if it did not connect automatically.
  • When you place outbound calls, you will be able to select between your bluetooth device and your Junction extension. Inbound calls to your bluetooth device will automatically ring to your WP820.
