FAX & SERVICE

Outbound Fax via E-Mail

Outbound faxing can be configured to accept requests from a predefined e-mail address (sample@example.com), or an entire organization's domain name ("all_employees"@example.com). Please contact your partner reseller or Junction Support to add or make changes to the authorized e-mail address list.

To send a new fax, please follow the below example. In the example, I intend to send a fax to 302-555-4444. I can attach a PDF, DOC, or DOCX file to the email. Once the e-mail is sent, Junction's servers will attempt to deliver the fax.

To send a fax, please follow the following directions:

  • Open a new e-mail message, and in the "To" field, input: PHONE_NUMBER@junctionfax.com. For example: 13025554444@junctionfax.com. Please do not add spaces or dashes between the phone numbers.
  • The Subject line can be left blank, as well as any data in the body of the email. Any information entered in the subject or body will be discarded by the system, with the exception stated below.
  • If you want the system to generate a cover page on your behalf, enter the phrase "body" in the subject line. Any text within the body of your email will be used as a cover page along with your file attachments.
  • Attach a copy of the file that you want to fax. Attached files must all be in 8.5 x 11 page size, and portrait format. The following file types are supported: PDF, DOC, DOCX.
  • Without a 8.5 x 11 attachment present in the email, the system will not process your fax.

Within a few minutes of sending the e-mail, you will receive a return e-mail stating the disposition of the fax send (success/failure). If you do not receive an automated e-mail within 15 minutes (remember to check your spam folder), it is likely that your e-mail address is not authorized. Please contact support for further assistance.
